The Oberaargau Region is known for its design exhibitions. The popular trade fair for design is held every two years, making Langenthal an international venue for design.
Altes Schlachthaus Herzogenbuchsee
"Bar, stage and music" – that's the motto of the Altes Schlachthauses in Herzogenbuchsee, with its culturally diverse range of offerings.
The Altes Schlachthaus has a bar with modern furnishings and a connecting lounge. The lounge can easily be transformed into a room with a stage and can also be rented for private events.
Chrämerhuus Galerie Langenthal
For over 30 years the Chrämerhuus culture association has presented a diverse cultural program – the only one of its kind in the Oberaargau Region.
The Chrämerhuus presents 70 to 100 events each year in the areas of music, theater, film, visual arts, literature and comedy.

Colanis Welt, Aarwangen
Luigi Colani's work is inspired by nature, which he considers an exemplary model for design. He makes quite an impression with his unmistakable approach to design.
With a small yet classy exhibit of his private collection, Jürg Bärtschi gives visitors a closer look at the work of Luigi Colani. The exhibit presents select specimens of design and gives visitors the chance to purchase some everyday items.
Galerie Kunstgarten, Aarwangen
Since 1992 the Galerie Kunstgarten has organized contemporary art exhibits and has made its facilities and park available to the public.
A sculpture exhibit is held in the park each summer. Besides the pieces on display in the garden, artwork is also displayed in the villa and the smaller gallery house.
The Kunstgarten also may be rented for private events upon request.
Galerie Leuenbrüggli, Langenthal
The gallery opened in 1959 as the "Bilderstube Leuebrüggli" (Leuebrüggli picture parlor) with an exhibit by Swiss painter Ernst Morgenthaler. It has changed location several times since then and has now found a home in the Jurapark.
Each year, 5-6 interesting and worthwhile exhibits are displayed in the gallery's special atmosphere – the light-flooded top floor of Langenthal's Jurapark building.

The permanent exhibit at the Kornhaus museum in Wiedlisbach includes specimens of the oldest Swiss faience, manufactured by the famous Langenthal and Matzendorf potteries.
Kunsthaus Langenthal holds four special exhibits each year, picking up on current topics and reflecting on trends in contemporary art.
The museum is located in the historic "Choufhüsi" building. The individual exhibits center around Swiss art. Children's workshops are held in connection with each exhibit; and special readings, concerts, performances or podium discussions are also offered, depending on the topic.
In its permanent exhibit covering three floors, Museum Langenthal displays the early linen trade and the history, geography and geology of Langenthal and the Oberaargau Region.
Two annual special exhibits with corresponding supplementary events are dedicated to various topics relevant to the region. The permanent exhibits are only partially available for viewing during the special exhibits.

Restaurant Sonne, Wäckerschwend
Restaurant Sonne on the Wäckerschwend offers regular live performances featuring well-known Swiss musicians in its unique "Heubühni" (hayloft).
Operas, musicals, folk performances from other cultures, classical and contemporary theater, comedies – Stadttheater Langenthal brings in a wide variety of acts, thus offering a diverse cultural program.
The official season runs from mid-October through the beginning of May with around 30 total performances. Besides the scheduled guest performances, the theater can also be rented to private event organizers throughout the year for individual performances.
Stadttheater Langenthal is also available as a meeting place for closed events (delegate assemblies, general meetings, company gatherings, association events, etc.).
Since 1995, the Trummlehus has housed a collection of rhythm instruments from around the world, as well as pewter figures, pictures and items related to Langenthal's carnival.
The Trummlehus regularly hosts special exhibits. Current exhibit: "Beat upon beat: A musical journey through time."
