Via Ferrata Gantrisch

Access to the via ferrata takes you through the Gurnigel watershed; the start is just below the Leiterenpass. The climbing distance is 220 meters. Climbing equipment can be rented in the Gurnigel Berghaus.

It is recommended that climbers be accompanied by a mountain guide the first time. A hiking trail is used for the descent: either directly back to the watershed (Wasserscheide) via the Morgetepass or, after crossing south of the Gantrisch, return to Obernünenen past the Leiterenpass. The via ferrata Gantrisch is classified as difficult (KS 4) with a few short parts that are very difficult.
